Job Summary:

The Senior Security Architect is responsible for defining relevant enterprise-level application, infrastructure and architecture security standards and design patterns in line with emerging cybersecurity threats and trends, conducting detailed architecture reviews and assessments, and developing architecture diagrams/blueprints for strategic and non-strategic projects of the bank based on functional and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Security Architecture

1. Develop architecture blueprints of strategic and non-strategic projects of the bank following enterprise architecture standards and solution patterns
2. Perform security architecture reviews and assessment of emerging technologies and capabilities and define standards, policies or guidelines to support them
3. Perform security assessment and threat modeling of business applications based on application security requirements, policies, patterns and standards
4. Develop an in-depth understanding of BDO’s security architecture – which includes various technology controls/platforms as well as supporting processes
5. Generate, analyze and report relevant metrics involving services provided by the security architecture team

B. Problem/Incident Management

1. Provide guidance to Security Operations Team where necessary to analyze and mitigate advanced threats and incidents
2. Provide guidance to perform root-cause analysis as needed, and recommend technical and process controls to prevent recurrence.

C. Process Improvement

1. Evaluate relevant software products to improve the bank’s security systems.
2. Regularly revisit existing tools and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Define and refine relevant standards to harden IT systems.
4. Mentor junior security architects and keep them up to speed on enterprise security patterns, standards and policies

D. Project Work

1. Manage and implement minor to major cybersecurity projects initiated by the IT Security Department

Qualifications:

• Graduate of Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic and Communication Engineering, or similar
• Minimum 7 years of relevant IT experience - with specialization on CyberSecurity Architecture and Operations
• Must be willing to work onsite and be assigned in Makati/Ortigas
