Deal Manager

Role Overview:
The Deal Manager is primarily responsible for executing transactions of, and assisting corporate clients in their debt and/or equity fund raising exercises, advising them on merger and acquisition transactions and valuation exercises. The Deal Manager is directly responsible for the timely implementation of workflows and delivering the detailed investment banking output in the specific transactions the Deal Manager is working on or assisting in. Deals include equity offerings, (Initial Public Offerings, Follow-On Offerings, Rights Offers), syndicated loans, project finance, strategic acquisitions, valuation and financial advisory services.
Key Responsibilities:
Deal Execution
- Conducts due diligence on the company
- In-depth credibility assessment of the company and its key executives
- Competitive analysis
- Merger and acquisition and divestment programs
- Disclosure of material commercial information
- Accounting and financial information
- Determination of financial policy soundness
- Determination and disclosure of legal and regulatory framework governing the client’s businesses
- Advices clients on recommended course of action for their particular objectives
- Executes transactions to fulfill client’s needs within the required timeframe
- Executes deals and structures of the mandated product from inception to completion
- Manages and expedites the progress of other parties’ work for the client
- Collaborates with the Marketing Department to set-up road shows for clients’ issuances
- Collaborates with any other parties needed in order to complete the transaction in its entirety for the client
Deal Flow
- Discusses additional requirements with clients for future deals
- Follows-up with other pending deals in order to engage clients into a definitive mandate
- Identifies opportunities across several clients to benefit as many parties as possible
- Supports other units of the Bank, such as but not limited to Corporate and Commercial Banking units, with their clients to provide more products and services, as needed
Project Management
- Manages and arranges meetings for purposes of fulfilling client’s objectives, as needed
- Manages all relevant workflows and deliverables needed from parties for project timetable
- Liaises and acts as the intermediary for any regulatory or custodianship requirement on behalf of the client
Marketing
- Schedules regular monthly client calls in order to retain clients
- Maintains relationships with clients to remain as the preferred choice in investment banking service requirements and any other transactions
- Solicits new deals from potential clients looking for an investment bank
- Represents BDO Capital in industry associations and/or networking events/functions
Other Functions
- Performs other functions and special projects that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
- Graduate of any Bachelor's degree (Preferably belongs to the top tier of the class, Preferably with MBA or CFA or similar advance education and training)
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in the banking, investment banking, and securities brokerage
- Bloomberg and PC proficient
