General Responsibilities: 

 

  • Leads the Audit Teams in conducting continuous risk and control assessments and prioritization of audits and processes assigned to the Unit in line with the Bapproved audit methodology, standards and continuous improvements initiatives.
  • Ensures that the audit engagements carried out are in accordance with the IIA’s IPPF and with the overall audit plans and strategies for a particular year and within budgeted mandays.
  • Assists the Department Head in the reports to Senior Management and the Board Audit Committees on critical audit findings and/ or significant developments relevant to the operations of the assigned units.

 

Annual Planning

 

  • Leads the development of annual audit plan of the Unit assigned, in accordance with the prescribed risk-based audit planning methodology, standards and continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Reviews the consolidated/ Unit's proposed financial budget to carry-out the annual audit plan, as may be required. 

 

Engagement Planning

 

  • Reviews the engagement strategy and plan for each audit engagement which shall primarily include the entire scope of the guidelines. 
  • Reviews the risk and control assessment matrix in accordance with the guidelines considering prescribed references like RCSA, KRI, Process Maps, etc. 
  • Reviews the Audit Program Guides that should have been prepared/ updated in accordance with the existing guidelines

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Internal Audit or other related courses
  • At least eight (8) years experience in internal auditing, financial auditing, operations review, with at least three (3) years supervisory/ managerial experience
  • Knowledgeable in IIA’s International Professional Practices Framework, Governance, risk management, and control processes
