Transaction Processing / General Functions

 

  • Process and approve trade transactions and email instructions accurately and within the required turnaround time.
  • Ensure all transaction details are correctly entered in the Trade System and related systems.
  • Conduct proper screening of parties and goods involved in trade transactions.
  • Validate and approve trade system postings, CASA overrides, debit/credit memos, Manager’s Checks, billing statements, and end-of-day balancing and reconciliation reports.
  • Verify client signatures on all trade-related documents.
  • Ensure trade transactions (foreign and domestic) are funded with Treasury Liquidity before the cutoff time.
  • Review and handle inquiries, messages, and requests from correspondent banks, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with IBG and other units to resolve operational issues.
  • Sign trade-related documents and serve as alternate signatory for trade transactions when required.
  • Ensure all incoming trade documents are time-stamped and processed promptly.
  • Review and approve outgoing SWIFT messages before dispatch.
  • Monitor the inventory and usage of Manager’s Checks, when applicable.
  • Oversee the reconciliation of the tellering system, DFFB floats, and other related reports.
  • Review and validate monthly account inventories and reconciliations.
  • Ensure the timely reversal of Accounts Receivable, including 2% Creditable Withholding Tax, and Accounts Payable transactions.
  • Review and endorse new and existing clients for setup or updates in the Trade System.
  • Oversee participation in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure compliance with audit and Operational Risk Management (ORM) requirements.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

 

Qualifications Required:

 

  • Graduate of any four (4) year Business Course

  • With at least five (5) years experience in Trade related transactions

  • With knowledge in Project management, Systems Development, Banking Operations

  • With basic computer knowledge, conversant with UCP, BSP and PPC

  • With good leadership qualities
