Tech Lead

The Technical Lead is responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of API services and products. This role ensures technical excellence, scalability, and maintainability of API solutions while guiding development teams through implementation. The Technical Lead collaborates closely with architects, product managers, and delivery managers to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

Duties and responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

• Lead the technical design and architecture of API services and products.
• Provide hands-on guidance and mentorship to development teams.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural principles. 

Solution Engineering

• Drive the engineering and implementation of API services, ensuring quality, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with internal and external systems.
• Manage technical dependencies and ensure timely resolution of issues.

Code Quality and Review

• Conduct code reviews and ensure high standards of code quality and maintainability.
• Drive continuous improvement in development practices and tooling. 

Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with Delivery Managers, Product Owners, and QA teams to align technical execution with business goals.
• Communicate technical decisions and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders. 

Innovation and Technical Strategy

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in API development.
• Recommend and implement improvements to API engineering, tooling, and processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. 
• Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in software development. 
• At least 3 years in a technical leadership role, preferably in API or microservices environments
• Must be willing to work onsite and be assigned in Ortigas.
