BASIC FUNCTION
Responsible for developing and growing the business portfolio of the assigned team or unit, and in implementing processes and procedures relation to sales, client servicing, and collections. Also responsible for ensuring that bank interests (financial or reputational) are likewise well-protected
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Business Development and Account Maintenance (50%)
1. Responsible for delivering the premium and commission budget for his or her assigned team or unit while keeping within the operating expense budget as well as in alignment with company rules and regulations.
2. Responsible in developing and maintaining an active and healthy pipeline of accounts, comprised of identified business opportunities from new or existing clients of the team, referred and/or part of the Account Distribution List maintained by IBG Commercial Bank Group (Combank).
3. Ensure bank and client requirements are attended to and acted upon by appropriate members of the team.
4. Communicate regularly with IBG Combank counterparts and other bank units to formulate, agree and implement sales strategies, and satisfy client servicing requirements.
5. Maximize the business relationship with bank counterparts and clients by assessing accounts and identifying opportunities for new business and organic growth, and cross-selling other insurance products to address client's needs, contribute to production and grow the existing business portfolio.
6. Ensure that all policies are renewed on time
7. Strengthen business relationships with clients by constant communication (i.e. providing market updates, disaster alerts), visits and providing the highest level of customer service
8. Conduct product presentations or orientation on topics ranging from insurance coverage to claims handling for client or bank counterparts.
9. Follow agreed broking procedures and/or specific work instructions in handling new business and renewals.
10. Provide regular progress reports to IBG Combank Unit and Team Heads and Account Officers with regards to the status of accounts in the pipeline as well as unit/team/AO performance versus budget.
11. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the immediate superior or senior management from time to time.
B. Account Administration (Quotation, Proposal, Placements, Collections, Claims) (30%)
1. Lead in negotiations with insurance companies and other BDOl units (i.e. TSU) for the most appropriate terms and conditions to suit the needs of the client (when applicable or necessary).
2. Ensure that standard documentation such as renewal advice, quotation slip, proposal form, placement slip, cover notes, SOA's, policies and endorsements are reviewed, prepared correctly and sent out to appropriate parties in a timely manner.
3. Lead the collective effort of marketing and operations units (and insurers, if necessary) in serving client concerns and requirements.
4. Oversee the satisfactory resolution of claims of clients from assigned market, in coordination with Claims Unit.
5. Ensure that the team disposes accounts promptly (collected on time, credit term extensions obtained before due dates, cancellations are booked accordingly, unapplied payments and refunds promptly disposed) and kept within the company standards (i.e. aging, percentage, etc.).
6. Ensure correct booking of accounts.
