Job Summary

 

  • Develop project plan, scope, estimates; Manage the implementation of IT Projects ensuring on-time and within budget delivery while meeting business requirements and ensuring compliance with solution architecture.
  • Align across other technical leads in the IT organization.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  •  Assists in prioritization of IT projects as part of the business planning/ demand planning cycle for the Units
  • Align with the project manager on the overall technical outcomes for the modules and delivery timelines
  • Leads in the kick-off process with vendor ensuring all necessary resources are present.
  • Monitors and execute assigned projects as per BDO SDLC and Governance process
  • Accountable to deliver the technical deliverables of the projects within scope, schedule and budget commitments
  • Accountable to manage the vendors involved in the project, ensuring all technical deliverables are met
  • Identifies and logs project issues; Oversees the resolution process; and escalates issues when necessary
  • Lead, when necessary, re-scopes the projects and updates project plans accordingly
  • Leads the project closure ensuring all deliverables are achieved and documented; and relevant lessons learned/ case studies are developed
  • Assists in selecting and on-going management of vendors/ suppliers for supporting selected projects
  • Facilitates vendor contracting, payments
  • Harness project best practices and contribute to the overall BDO knowledge base
  • Train new delivery managers with BDO project delivery processes
  • Manage the team competency, assignment and workload
  • Work with the application owners, IT Operations, architects, and platform owners to ensure that the technical deliverables are aligned with company standard processes and SDLC
  • Proactive management of issues and risk and timely escalations to the Unit Heads
  • Responsible for end-to-end technical delivery of projects and Business-as-Usual (BAU) activities.
  • Strong technical leadership, hands-on involvement when needed, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery, system stability, and high-quality outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with BA and SA team head, Systems Analysts, Solution Architects, Infrastructure Architects, Project Managers and other IT teams.
  • Design scalable, secure and high performance solution aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Lead technical delivery across the full project lifecycle.
  • Break down requirement into technical task and provide accurate effort estimations.
  • Assign and track development ask, ensuring alignment with delivery timelines.
  • Identify and manage technical risk, dependencies and issues.
  • Actively dive into application code during critical timelines, production issues, or complex problem areas. Support developer by troubleshooting, optimizing and refactoring code when required. Includes timely escalation to the heads.
  • Lead and perform code reviews to ensure quality, performance, security and maintainability.
  • Ensure technical documentation is accurate and up to date, including design documents, interface specifications, deployment guides, and operational run-books

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job.
  • Experienced as a full-time IT project manager, delivery or technical lead (5 years minimum), preferably gained from a bank or financial institution.
  • Must be willing to work onsite and be assigned in Ortigas
