Job Summary:

 

  • Lead the Digital Architecture team responsible for solution architecture and design assurance across assigned retail digital front-end applications. The role translates established enterprise and unit architecture direction into practical solution designs, ensures delivery conformance, coordinates architecture resources, and provides hands-on guidance to projects and team members.
  • Lead day-to-day solution architecture delivery and design assurance for assigned Retail Digital initiatives from service definition through build and transition.
  • Apply approved target architectures, reusable patterns, standards, and guardrails to digital banking, mobile/web channels, and related front-end applications.
  • Provide solution options, trade-off analysis, risk assessment, and recommendations to project, IT, and business stakeholders.
  • Coordinate architecture assignments, reviews, dependencies, issues, and vendor deliverables, escalating material decisions to the Unit Head.
  • Coach solution architects, improve architecture artifacts and working practices, and strengthen internal delivery capability.

 

 

Job Summary:

 

Accountability to ITG: 
• Deliver complete, reviewable, and traceable solution architecture artifacts and coordinate with ITG units from service definition through implementation decisioning.
• Verify that assigned solutions comply with IT SDLC, architecture, security, data, infrastructure, DevSecOps, production-readiness, integration, resiliency, operational, and transition requirements.
• Facilitate architecture reviews, option analysis, ARB submissions, and decision reviews; escalate exceptions with clear recommendations, risks, and decision points.
• Maintain and promote approved patterns, templates, guardrails, architecture decisions, and decision records for assigned Retail Digital solutions.
• Identify technical debt, duplicate capabilities, resiliency gaps, and non-standard implementations, and recommend remediation for Unit Head approval.

 

Accountability to Business: 
• Translate approved business scope and requirements into feasible, secure, scalable solution designs aligned with BDO next-generation architecture and intended outcomes.
• Plan and assign architecture support for scope validation, requirements elaboration, solution design, and delivery assurance.
• Resolve routine design conflicts, cross-platform dependencies, and vendor solution gaps; escalate material or unresolved matters to the Unit Head.
• Present solution options with trade-offs, costs, risks, controls, dependencies, and recommended actions.
• Prepare architecture papers, decision materials, vendor assessments, and delivery-risk summaries for governance and stakeholder forums.

 

Accountability to Unit: 
 
• Manage the quality, timeliness, and consistency of architecture delivery across assigned Retail Digital initiatives.
• Support capacity planning, staffing, work allocation, and resource utilization, and raise constraints or demand conflicts to the Unit Head.
• Coach team members through onboarding, work reviews, mentoring, knowledge sharing, development planning, and performance input.
• Assign solution architects according to solution complexity, risk, criticality, delivery priority, and required expertise.
• Serve as the first escalation point for team delivery issues and ensure timely action, risk management, and appropriate escalation.
• Review vendor and system-integrator architecture deliverables for conformance with BDO target-state architecture, controls, standards, and operational requirements.
• Provide architecture support for incident reviews when needed to address root cause, recurrence prevention, resiliency, security, or integration design

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or other discipline relevant to technology delivery and architecture. 
  • At least 10 years of experience in technology delivery, solution architecture, enterprise applications, or systems integration, preferably in financial services.
  • At least 5 years of experience delivering complex digital, online transaction, payments, lending, integration, or customer-channel initiatives
  • At least 3 years leading or supervising solution architects, senior technical specialists, vendors, or system-integration partners.
  • Must be willing to work onsite and be assigned in Ortigas
