Job Summary

The Reinsurance Team Head is primary responsible for managing effectively and efficiently service delivery from facultative placement to claims settlement.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates the placements of risks from underwriting submission to placement review, contract wordings and endorsements.
  • Ensures compliance of the team with set standards for reinsurance.
  • Ensure the timely processing and release of acceptance of Reinsurers to Reinsured.
  • Ensure timely processing and encoding of confirmations with facultative reinsurance placement in the system on per account basis.
  • Monitor all renewing accounts with facultative reinsurance placement and ensure Hold Cover Letters are sent to reinsurers prior to expiry of reinsured policies.
  • Ensure that Reinsurer’s concern on pertinent account information requirements are properly addressed and confirmed.
  • Monitors the day-to-day operations of the RI Officer.
  • Works with RI Broker Partners and local Reinsurers to identify and qualify opportunities for business development.
  • Monitors the payment of RI Premium to partner RI Broker / Reinsurers and of RI Commission to BDOI.
  • Performs other duties as necessary and usual in meeting objectives/ mission of the department and/ or assigned by superior.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • At least 5 years supervisory level in an Insurance or Reinsurance Company
  • Knowledgeable in all lines of insurance
  • Must be willing to work onsite and be assigned in Ortigas.
