Team Head

Job Mandate

• Develop project plan, scope, estimates; Manage the implementation of IT Projects ensuring on-time and within budget delivery while meeting business requirements and ensuring compliance with solution architecture

• Align across other delivery managers and report to the BTS project manager(s) in context of the project

• Ensures adherence on BDO SDLC framework on all service delivery activity

• Application Management and oversees BAU activities for existing application systems

• Manages and leads team of technical leads and developers, as possible systems analyst and testers as well

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists in prioritization of IT projects as part of the business planning/ demand planning cycle for the Units

• Align with the project manager on the overall business outcomes for the modules and delivery timelines

• Leads the kick-off process ensuring all necessary resources are available in conjunction with business sponsor and that a robust project plan is in place

• Monitors and execute assigned projects as per BDO SDLC and Governance process

• Accountable to deliver the technical deliverables of the projects within scope, schedule and budget commitments

• Accountable to manage the vendors involved in the project, ensuring all technical deliverables are met

• Identifies and logs project issues; Oversees the resolution process; and escalates issues when necessary

• Lead, when necessary, re-scopes the projects and updates project plans accordingly

• Leads the project closure ensuring all deliverables are achieved and documented; and relevant lessons learned/ case studies are developed

• Assists in selecting and on-going management of vendors/ suppliers for supporting selected projects

• Facilitates vendor contracting, payments

• Harness project best practices and contribute to the overall BDO knowledge base

• Train new delivery managers with BDO project delivery processes

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Education Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job.

Work Experience

• Should have 8+ years of hands-on experience in building and delivering solutions,

preferably, gained from a bank or financial institution

• Experience in handling complex project on financial application is highly -

preferred

• Experience in PMI/PRINCE2 PM Framework and/or Agile, Scrum, or Kanban

methodology (2years min), Project Management certification is a plus

• Prior hands-on development experience in any of the following: Microsoft Power

Apps, C#/.Net, AngularJS

• Prior experience in project delivery in GCP, AWS, and/or Azure is a plus

• Lead project teams which may consist of technical leads, developers, systems

analyst, testers (whether BDO internal or vendor partners)

Knowledge Area

• Must have a deep understanding of design patterns, coding standards, and

system development best practices

• Wide knowledge on different enterprise and cloud technology development

and deployment

• Monitoring, Logging, and Alert setup in a production environment

• Excellent understanding of interactive application development paradigm, memory management, performance/resource optimizations, database

• Very conversant with different project management frameworks (e.g. Scrum, PMP,
