Job Mandate

• Ensure high quality and timely delivery of all projects of the team and oversee upkeep of the platforms owned by the unit

• Develop a full understanding of how the team works and orchestrate applicable processes across other teams as needed

• Manage technical escalations and resolutions

• Bring technical leadership and direction to issues and risks troubleshooting to minimize impact, in line with Cloud Technologies.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Accountability to ITG

• Share the delegated responsibility of the head, and own full accountability for delivery in the assigned team/section

• Work closely with other units/counterparties across ITG to ensure seamless delivery

• Enforce adherence to IT SDLC and Governance structure

• Work with business stakeholders on developing cloud related strategies, approach and roadmaps

• Work cross-functionally with design and technology teams to ensure timely and quality release of products, services,

enhancements in line with Cloud technologies

Accountability to PIP/Business

• Ensure that there is a good understanding of the business unit’s strategic direction

• Ensure alignment of strategies with BDO architecture

• Ensure that the right people are assigned to each project in order to ensure proper support, validation of scope,

requirements development, and delivery ownership

• Manage all escalation from business unit and PIP team

Accountability to Unit:

• Take accountability of the quality of technical deliverables for the team

• Plan for and manage the team’s capacity, and ensure appropriate and sufficient staffing of the team

• Ensure adequate competency in technical team members

• Identify and optimize how resources can be leveraged across delivery teams

• Ensure timely escalation of issues

• Act as point of technical escalation for all delivery team leads and team members.

• Ensure adequate and appropriate level of support by defining competencies, providing training, and providing team

members with adequate experience and exposure

• Conduct performance reviews for team members

• Monitor project progress and recommend changes as necessary

• Ensure compliance with objectives, organizational policies, procedures, standards and best practices

• Technical reviews on application, system, data and solution architectures identifying potential issues/risks and makes

recommendations

• Assists in selecting and on-going management of vendors/ suppliers for supporting selected projects

• Ensure operational support processes are aligned with the business objectives and stated business requirements

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Education Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job

Work Experience

• 15 or more years of delivery experience in the financial services industry

• 10 or more years of experience in managing complex projects involving the

implementation of digital or online-transaction solutions

• Experienced in handling vendor and third-party SI engagements

• Experience working on front-end applications that run financial transactions with

3rd party applications

• Experience with IT and digital transformations within the Financial Services industry

 

 

Job Description

 

• Experience with writing/vetting vendor engagement documents (non-disclosure

agreements, statements of work, contract).

Knowledge Area

• Experience in leading technical cloud practice and solutions, infra and cloud

delivery in public cloud and private cloud technologies

• Experience in defining Cloud Architecture Standards, including documenting and

enforcing guidelines

• Experience in driving infra/cloud related projects, including FinOps and

transformation and migration

• Experience in designing and building enterprise scale landing zone blueprints in

alignment with cloud adoption, industry best practices and WAF (Well Architected

Framework), including exposure on IaC and CI/CD

• Experience in different cloud platforms, Containerization & Orchestration, IaC,

DevSecOps & Automation, Cloud Security, Performance Monitoring &

Optimization

• Has a drive and passion in monitoring market cloud technology trends

• Technology background with good understanding of software and vendor

landscapes

• Good practical knowledge of developing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS),

risk/issue management, dependency management, vendor management and

business/IT stakeholder management

Skills

• Conversant with different project management frameworks (e.g. Scrum, PMP,

Kanban)

• Possess strong problems solving and prioritization skills

• Excellent written/ verbal communication skills
