Systems Functional Analyst

The position:

• Assist in the planning of the assigned Remittance systems annual book of work of regulatory and mandatory changes together with business requested changes that support revenue growth and drive operational efficiency

• Execute the system projects of Remittance and ensure timely and high quality delivery while ensuring the availability and reliability of assigned Systems

• Provide business and functional analysis for the system projects sponsored by the Remittance unit

• Will elicit business requirements and perform requirements analysis

• Cover the entire analysis phase of the project and provide inputs to the optimal target state business processes while ensuring that systems are aligned front to back

The responsibilities we will trust you with:

• Remittance Systems Development and Maintenance

  • Prepares the requirements necessary for the assigned projects and system enhancements, developments and revisions and ensures completeness of support documents of all project requests

  • Initiates all required internal and external approvals to proceed with a project, such as but not limited to Business Case approval, Budget approval, BSP and other regulatory bodies' approval

  • Ensures that the Remittance System is compliant to Regulatory Scheme, domestic Payment Systems, Internal Audit and BDO IT Security and standards requirements

  • Conduct analysis and data gathering on proposed system enhancements and developments

  • Collaborates with Internal Bank Units, vendors, and partners to carry out activities for the Remittance System Projects and ensure successful and timely implementation of assigned projects

  • Responsible for the completion of User Acceptance Testing

  • Assist in the review of functional specifications of the IT Developer

• Remittance Systems Operations Support

  • Provides system support to other bank units for the execution of projects and other product development activities that require the involvement of the Remittance System

  • Execute Remittance System-related contracts with vendors, partners, subsidiaries and other entities in coordination with the Bank's legal team

  • Monitors and keeps an accurate record of all invoices and payments and approved project budgets

• Vendor Management

  • Processes new vendor contracts in coordination with the Bank's legal team until contract sign-off

  • Monitors contract expiration dates and renewal of expiring contracts ahead of expiration dates

  • Endorses for required management approvals for new and renewal of existing contracts

• Reporting Function

  • Prepares and submits applicable reports under the assigned Remittance System / Service

Your skills and experiences should be:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science and/or equivalent

• At least 5 (five) years' of solid experience in System Analysis and Project Management

• Knowledge of Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) is preferred, but not required

• Exposure to Remittance Systems Operations is preferred, but not required

You must be willing to work onsite and be assigned in:

• Makati

• Ortigas
