Job Mandate
• Develop clear functional specifications based on a comprehensive understanding of business requirements
• Build a broad range of technical knowledge that can support a variety of projects and initiatives
• Develop a competent technical working knowledge of the processes, capabilities and applications of the BU
Duties and Responsibilities
Accountability to ITG:
• Share delegated responsibility for project/program delivery
• Collaborate with peers across ITG and vendors to ensure seamless delivery
• Enforce adherence to IT SDLC and Governance structure
Accountability to AIO/Business:
• Develop clear functional requirements specifications based on the business requirements
• Identify any gaps in business requirements and follow up with end-users
• Develop a deeper understanding of the business processes, business organization, and expected business outcomes
• Conduct fit-gap analysis on products and develop reasonable working alternative
• Responsible in creation of requirements traceability matrix
• Responsible to discuss the functional requirements specification both in business and also in developers perspective
• Ensure that there is a good understanding of the business unit’s operations and strategic direction
• Timely & proactive escalation of risks/issues
• Build trust and collaborative relationships with the business leads and their delegates
Accountability to Unit:
• Take full accountability of the quality of functional specifications
• Support product evaluation during the service definition phase
• Assist in test planning to ensure completeness of scope by reviewing the test plans, test cases and preparations
• Assist in analyzing or determining root cause for defects during testing phases
• Responsible in reviewing the requirements trigger – Business Requirements, Change Request or Incident Report
• Assist in root cause analysis incase that a production issue may need an L3 level of support.
• Must be able to provide post go-live support
• Build adequate technical competency on relevant systems & technologies across the BU
• Timely & proactive escalation of risks/issues to the right parties with the intent of resolving or mitigating potential impacts
• Provide oversight & due diligence of vendors, solution providers and their assigned resources
• Role model the behavioral standards expected from leaders
• Create a working environment that encourages collaboration, inclusion and diversity of thought
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
• 10 or more years of combined professional IT experience in any discipline
• 5 or more years of experience in driving business requirements for Enterprise-scale or
business-wide implementation projects
• Experienced in collaborating and interacting with business & IT leaders
• Experienced in handling vendor and third-party engagements
• Retail banking (preferably), or broadly in Banking & Financial Services
• Minimum foundational knowledge of relevant technology domains such as cloud
computing, SaaS models, object-oriented programming languages, IT security,
infrastructure and networks
• Knowledgeable & adaptable in service delivery methodologies
• Competent working knowledge of banking & financial services
