Job Summary

 

The position is primarily responsible for managing POS application projects, including production support and compliance. This role ensures that payment application and EFT-POS enhancements meet business, card brand, and regulatory requirements, resolves production issues within agreed service levels, and serves as the liaison for card brand compliance and coordination with acquiring partners on payment technology solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

A. POS Systems’ Project Management

  • Liaise with different application/payment solution vendor to discuss business and technical requirements for development or enhancement
  • Ensures that application delivered by vendors are correct based on the specifications provided. Also make sure that the existing functionalities are not affected by the new application
  • Ensures that terminal software bugs or issues found during SIT and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) are completely addressed when application is implemented/deployed in production.
  • Provide assessment and determines application development prioritization based on the Business or Compliance requirements
  • Oversees provision of training for users on the terminal operating procedures and on the functionality of the terminal software applications.

 

B. POS Production Support

  • Manages and ensure that all POS reported issues are monitored, documented, coordinated with the respective support and resolved within agreed SLA

 

C. Compliance

  • Ensure that CLG Merchant Partnerships are compliant to all Card Brands and Regulatory requirements related to any Payment application solution or Payment Device
  • Regularly update the Business Units on the impact of any new policies that will be implemented by the Card Brands or Regulatory that will affect the Business

 

D. Other Administrative Functions

  • Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time.
  • Lead, guide and train team members in accordance with BDO CORE values and Business objectives

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology
  • With at least 3 years of experience in hardware, software, and POS implementation and maintenance, preferably gained from a bank or other financial institution.
  • Must be willing to work onsite and be assigned in Ortigas.
