JOB SUMMARY:

 

The Sustainability Program Lead will work directly with the Head of the Sustainability Office in the governance of bank-wide sustainability policies and programs along with business unit heads, subsidiary senior management and their designated sustainability representatives. The role will ensure timely and relevant compliance to regulatory mandates and global and regional best practices as applied to the context of the Bank and the Philippines.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversight on the implementation of the Environmental and Social Risk Management System (ESRMS)

a. Guide in the implementation of the ESRMS to drive E&S risk and opportunities assessment

b. Partner with relevant business units and operations groups to ensure implementation and track progress for regular reporting

c. Ensure that metrics and targets are in place where necessary to determine progress and impact, as well as for disclosure and reporting purposes

 

  • Environmental & Social (E&S) Programs Management

a. Assess current practices to craft formal policies and guide towards impactful, relevant, and timely implementation of E&S programs

b. Review existing policies to align with international recognized practices aligned with regulatory mandates and investor expectations

c. Collaborate with other members to identify best practices, develop organizational strategies and cost-effective solutions, connect experts across the Enterprise

d. Lead as subject matter expert on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) matters in support of business unit and subsidiary initiatives

 

  • Products and Services Development

a. Collaborate with BUs in the assessment of existing products and services and the creation of new products and services that incorporate sustainability principles

b. Drive sustainable innovations and practices within the organization to improve outcomes and help achieve excellent business performance

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with an environmental or social focus
  • At least 8-10 years experience in program management and implementation of activities related to sustainability/ environmental and social impact
  • Experience in working directly with senior leaders to execute a strategy, achieve a goal, execute on a deliverable
  • Management of high value projects with accountability to investors or funders
  • Experience as people manager with direct reports in achieving deliverables
