Senior Platform Lead

Job Mandate
Accountable for the overall management of the performance and lifecycle of the applications owned from the development and update of the application roadmap stage, delivery of the application/s and its releases, decommissioning and/or delivery of a replacement system.
Duties and Responsibilities
With counterpart Product Owner from the business, co-create the roadmap of the applications, how they will evolve and what features and capabilities are to be released following the medium-term and long-term plans
Perform market research and comparison with similar products in the market as part of the inputs to the roadmap development
Oversee the development, review, and approve application architecture and designs to ensure their consistency to the roadmap and that technical debts are avoided/minimized
Manage the overall delivery of projects and application releases by overseeing them from planning, execution, monitoring & control, closure, and ensure the compliance to prevailing SDLC framework and processes
Provide directions and decisions on project-level strategies, tactical plans, and issue resolutions to ensure the compliance to project scope, timeline, cost and quality
Continuously formulate, measure, attain and improve application key performance indicators in alignment to achieving the business goals in relation to the use of the product/application
Generate reports and regularly assess the performance of the applications and derive from them improvement initiatives and incorporate them release plans
Manage and ensure that outstanding technical debts, audit items, risks on the owned applications are tracked and closed in a timely manner
Manage risks to project delivery by ensuring proper project governance and measures in place and complied with
Conduct regular management and stakeholder presentations on the status and updates of the projects
Manage medium-term and annual application budgets and ensure tracking and reporting to hierarchy (IT, business, senior management)
Ensure organizational capability and capacity, formulate strategies and plans to address gaps
Perform People Management through defining, measuring and tracking of annual individual KPIs, individual development plans (IDP), manage successions and promotions
Review and manage the development and fulfilment of contracts
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (e.g. Computer Science/Engineering, MIS, etc.)
Work Experience: At least 10 years of experience in IT across various roles including software delivery, project management, and product management
Has experience in managing mobile applications and similar products of the application to be owned (e.g. e-commerce, Fintech, payment systems/services)
Has experience in managing a team or group accountable for ownership of an application/product
Has experience in managing systems involving mobile app frontend, APIs, cloud-based platforms and services
Knowledge Area: Knowledge and experience in financial services and banking
Solid knowledge on IT solutions built upon cloud/hybrid infrastructure and services
Solid knowledge on SDLC and application/software/product delivery
Solid knowledge in Project Management
Solid knowledge in IT Governance including Risk Management, Audit and Compliance, Data Privacy, and IT Security
Skills: Excellent leadership skills in managing both core and managed services resources Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills necessary for interactions with business and other support groups within IT Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent planning and execution skills
Excellent in formulating and driving strategic and tactical plans
