Job Summary

 

The Head of the Retail Channel Application will serve as the Delivery and Operations leader responsible for Roadmap Delivery, Operational health, day-to-day management of our digital banking channel including Budget Governance. The identified candidate will overall own the Application which is defined as a set of components with defined business capabilities that enable business requirements and processes, and provide functional capabilities to business units and customer segments. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage multiple teams, including a team of resolution managers, and oversee critical platform initiatives. You will be instrumental in addressing technical debt, identifying optimization opportunities for speed and availability, and ensuring the stability 
of their application and their back-office portals. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional who can translate high-level strategy into technical execution and foster a culture of operational excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

I. Channel Execution & Delivery: 
1. Own the business value of the application
2. Ownership of the Full lifecycle of the Application from Design to Retirement.
3. Execute the roadmap for the digital banking platform, ensuring all projects and initiatives are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
4. Lead the strategy for managing and reducing the Channel’s technical debt, working with teams to prioritize and implement solutions.
5. Ensures compliance to policies and regulations of the Application.
6. Balance and prioritizes delivery on Business Features, Optimization and Tech Debts.
 


II. Operational Management & Incident Resolution: 
1. Oversee the day-to-day stability and functionality of the Application.
2. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) for the platform, ensuring all operational targets are met.
3. Overall owner of the Applications Budget.

 


III. Team Leadership & Development: 
1. Lead, mentor, and coach multiple technical teams, fostering a high-performance culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
2. Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and be actively involved in the hiring and professional development of team members.
3. Manage team capacity and allocate resources to ensure project timelines and operational goals are achieved.
 


IV. Stakeholder & Vendor Management: 
1. Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing updates on platform performance, project status, and technical initiatives.
2. Manage relationships with external vendors and third-party partners to ensure services and technical support align with our needs.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in enterprise software development and implementation, with at least 5-7 years in a technical leadership or management role.
  • Proven experience leading technical teams in a financial services or digital banking environment.
  • Must be willing to work onsite and be assigned in Ortigas
