BASIC FUNCTION:

The Release Manager facilitates the timely and quality software releases, updates and bug fixes through

successful planning, coordination, and execution of the releases. Clears and escalates impediments or

blockers on-time when necessary. Reporting to the CRM Delivery – Platform Engineering Team Head and ensures that the technical implementation of the project is meeting the business requirements and in compliance to BDO’s software development life cycle.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY:

Manage the end-to-end release management process, ensuring the successful planning,

coordination, and execution of software releases, updates and bug fixes.

Collaborate with stakeholders, including development teams, project managers, business

owners, and customers, to define release scope, objectives, and timelines, ensuring alignment

with business goals and priorities.

Coordinate and schedule release activities, including environment setup, code branching, build

releases, testing, and deployment activities.

Collate and maintain release documentation, including release plans, deployment guides,

release notes, and post-release reports.

Align with the change management processes, ensuring proper documentation, impact analysis,

and approval of changes before implementing a release.

Coach, mentor and help the team with IT SDLC processes and rules.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Bachelor’s/College degree of any technology-related or relevant field.

At least 5 years of proven experience as full-time release manager or technical delivery work experience.

Demonstrated experience in handling complex banking or financial services related application projects.

Proven experience in waterfall and iterative methodologies.

Good communication, presentation, negotiation, influencing and conflict management skills.

Ability to make sound decisions by pursuing ways to balance quality, cost, risk and resources.
