Core Principles of Application Owner:

  • Own the business value of the application

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Co-owns the business value of the Loan Management System (LMS) application together with the different loan groups of the Bank. 
  • Involved in the application life-cycle from design (ground-up) up to its decommissioning. 
  • Ensures application’s compliance with the policies and regulations of the Bank and different regulatory bodies e.g., BSP, AMLC. 
  • Maintains relationship with the application service provider/vendor, which includes the following: Reviewing and monitoring the payables with the vendor based on the contract and obtaining and cascading of the application roadmap and upgrades with the business stakeholders
  • Responsible in ensuring that LMS application is operational and is aligned with the requirements of the different business units teams using the said application. 
  • Manage the Service Level Agreement (SLA) with the service provider/ vendor based on the agreed and signed contract. 
  • Coordinate with the different IT teams and business unit stakeholders in resolving the production issues together with the service provider and implementing the fixes required once tested and accepted by the concerned BUs. 
  • Maintain harmonious working relationship within IT support teams and business stakeholders to properly manage the application. 
  • Prepare reports as required by Senior Leadership Team, which may include application statistics e.g., processing times, transaction counts, among others and financial information for strategic approaches and decision-making purposes. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job 
  • With background on application/product ownership. 
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of business and systems on loans.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and to lead It and business teams.
  • Must be willing to work onsite and be assigned in Ortigas
