Problem Manager

The Problem Manager is responsible for managing the lifecycle of all Problems. He/She will play a crucial role in identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems within the organization’s systems, processes, and services. He/she will work closely with cross-functional teams to investigate root causes, develop solutions and implement preventive measures to minimize the impact of problems in the operations.


 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the Incident Managers and validate if there are new high priority incidents reported and obtain the incident timeline.

  • Organize problem review meeting with relevant IT Support people and/or Business Unit representatives.

  • Create problem tickets for each unique issue/s to prevent recurrence discussed in the problem review session and assign to the responsible IT Support Unit.

  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis to identify underlying causes, contributing factos, and patterns associated with the problems.

  • Perform other relevant tasks.


 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree of Information Technology, Computer Science or any related field.

  • At least 7 years of work experience in IT

  • At least 5 years of experience in Incident Management/Problem Management/Application Development and/or Production Support

  • Must have at least 1-2 of the following:

- Java Developer (J2EE, SOAP, REST, Nodejs, Tomcat, Apache or full stack)

- System Administrator (Unix, Solaris)

- AS400 System Administrator

- Database Administrator (MySQL, and Oracle)

-Network Administrator

-Technical Architect

    • Must be willing to work onsite and be assigned in Makati/Ortigas
