Portfolio Manager

Job Mandate:
- Pro-actively manage the day-to-day activity and delivery of the IT Project Managers to ensure that projects are delivered within the committed scope, schedule, budget, quality and compliance to project management standards.
- Help improve the success rate and performance of IT Project Managers in executing and managing their projects using the Project Management and SDLC framework and tools.
- Work with IT Governance and the IT Project Managers in addressing/closing the gaps on compliance to project management and SDLC standards.
- Actively support the implementation of an effective Project Management framework.
- Maximize the use of Project Management tools to capture demand management, manage scope, schedule, budget and quality, flag issues, risks and dependencies and critical action items.
- Actively support the continuous process improvement initiatives of the project management process/framework to increase effectiveness and increase success rate of the IT Program/Project Managers.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Liaise with IT Program/Project Managers and IT Governance in checking and improving project performance and compliance to project management standards.
- Ensure clear communication on expectations on how the Program/Project Managers will be measured on project execution.
- Work with the IT Program/Project Managers in ensuring that the right project resources/providers are assigned to their projects based on skill sets and project requirements.
- Communicate any improvements on process and performance metrics.
- Facilitate project management forums, workshops, pocket discussions, and change management activities to ensure adoption of improved processes/framework.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology or related courses
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in a financial services environment
- Experience in managing high profile or strategic programs/projects with heavy collaboration with cross functional teams
- Familiarity with a global project management framework/discipline, methodologies and tools, such as PMI, PRINCE2, or Six Sigma
- Must be willing to work onsite and be assigned in Ortigas.
