Job Mandate
Responsible for conducting fundamental credit research and ongoing monitoring of sovereign and corporate bond investments within Treasury's Fixed Income Accrual Portfolio across Developed and Emerging Markets. Supports investment decision-making through rigorous analysis of issuers, sectors, and macroeconomic developments, and provides recommendations on portfolio acquisitions, reductions, and divestments. The role will also support portfolio management, trade execution, investment governance, and compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate existing and prospective sovereign and corporate bond investments through credit, financial, industry, and macroeconomic analysis.
- Develop investment recommendations and credit opinions to support portfolio decisions.
- Monitor portfolio holdings for earnings, rating actions, regulatory developments, ESG risks, and market events.
- Analyze global economic, geopolitical, and financial market developments and their impact on portfolio strategy.
- Facilitate primary and secondary market trades, achieving best execution through liquidity sourcing, pricing analysis, and dealer engagement.
- Assist in preparing investment memoranda, portfolio reviews, management reports, and compliance monitoring reports.
- Support portfolio managers through research and market intelligence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of fixed income markets, credit analysis, and macroeconomics preferred.
- Experience in banking, treasury, research, risk management, or investment management is an advantage.
- CFA, FRM, or progress toward professional certification (TCP or SEC salesman license) is a plus.
