Custodianship Officer

The Custodianship Officer is primarily responsible for receiving, safekeeping, releasing, and monitoring the submission of original loan/lease collateral and other bank documents. This role ensures compliance with standard operating procedures, BDOLFI policies, and service level agreements with various business units.


Key Responsibilities

  • Receive original loan/lease collateral and other bank documents from the Section/Unit Head for safekeeping.
  • Coordinate with Compliance Checking and Registration Units for documents of booked loan and lease accounts.
  • Escalate overdue submissions to Group and Department Heads of supported units.
  • Review details of Collateral Release Advice (CRA) and Request for Pull-Out (RPO) for paid accounts, ensuring completeness and accuracy of documents and approvals.
  • Monitor the return of borrowed documents by the committed date stated in the RPO.
  • Scan and index loan/lease collateral and other bank documents.
  • Perform monthly monitoring of secured and unsecured accounts per approved guidelines.
  • Conduct annual physical inventory of loan and collateral documents for supported units.
  • Carry out other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree graduate.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Loans Custodian.
