Credit Operations Head

Job Summary:

Primarily responsible for underwriting loan applications and managing Area Credit Heads (ACH) and Credit Officers (COs) in assigned region.

Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate loan applications

• Evaluate credit application according to credit policies and guidelines

• Oversee credit investigations conducted by COs and underwriting of ACHs in assigned region

• Evaluate credit application according to credit policies and guidelines

• Render underwriting decision according to approved delegated approving authority

   

2. Manage credit team performance

• Manage credit investigation and underwriting operations in the assigned region to drive achievement of region’s targets and objectives

• Resolve operational issues and concerns to ensure operational efficiency

• Monitor and manage loading/ staffing of ACHs and COs to ensure fast TAT while maintaining credit quality

• Train and mentor ACHs and Cos

• Conduct periodic credit portfolio reviews

• Revise/develop credit policies and operating guidelines to improve credit quality and credit evaluation process

   

3. Ensure team compliance to policies and guidelines related to

• Credit investigation and evaluation

• Internal, regulatory and external requirements

   

Requirements:

• At least 10 years credit investigation/ underwriting/ audit related work in consumer lending/ microfinance

• People management

• Plus if with sales/ collections experience

• Credit investigation and underwriting

• Financial and credit assessment of businesses
