Compliance Specialist
Mandaluyong City, National Capital Region, PH
Responsibilities:
A. Communications and Advisory
1.Provides guidance to branches and business/support units on regulatory matters.
2.Issues reminders to business/support Units on non-routine regulatory requirements or as needed.
3.Disseminates Regulatory Issuances to appropriate BDONB Business Units, provide guidance and track compliance thereof.
4.Reports compliance issues to the Regulatory Compliance Officer and/or to the Chief Compliance Officer.
5.Assists the Regulatory Compliance Officer and/or the Chief Compliance Officer in the preparation and distribution of reports to Senior Management and/or Board.
6.Reviews for alignment of manuals of business/support units.
B. Liaison with Regulators
1.Manages and coordinates requirements during regulatory on-site review.
2.Coordinates queries/requests for regulatory off-site review.
3.Monitors and tracks submission of response to regulatory requirements during on-site and off-site regulatory reviews.
4.Assists in delivering the offsite and on-site supervisory requirements of regulatory bodies.
5.Prepares required reports of Regulatory Compliance Office to Regulators.
6.Prepares reports on Crimes and Losses, facilitate its submission to the BSP, and attend to follow-up requests from the BSP.
7.Assists in the preparation of regulatory certifications and applications for authority and licenses.
8.Liaises for regulatory (BSP, PDIC, SEC, etc.) requirements and/or reports including regulatory surveys and customer complaints elevated to the BSP.
C. Regulatory Compliance Testing
1.Performs independent compliance review/testing
2.Monitors and validates certifications/ reports by Unit Compliance Coordinators (UCCs) and tracks corrective actions for reported exceptions
3.Maintains and updates the database of reported findings of the assigned UCCs
4.Updates Regulatory Compliance Testing Checklists (RCTCs)
5.Coordinates and monitors noted observations to concerned business/support units
D. Corporate Governance and Related Party Transaction (RPT)
1. Assists the Regulatory Compliance Officer on the following:
- Updating the Corporate Governance Manual
- Updating the Compliance Charter and terms of references (TORs) of the Board-level committees
2. Prepares documentary requirements to be submitted to regulatory bodies
3. Updates RPT policies and procedures
4. Assists business units in the preparation of memo and data for review by Related Party Transaction Committee
(RPTC)
5. Prepares materials for reporting to Corporate Governance Committee, Independent and Non-Executive
Directors, and Related Party Transaction Committee (RPTC)
6. Prepares the Annual Report Corporate Governance section write-up
7. Coordinates with business units on sustainability matters relative to Environmental, Social & Governance /
Environmental & Social Risk Management System
E. Updating of databases and enhancement of Compliance programs and manual
1. Updates databases/ monitoring files maintained by Regulatory Compliance Unit
2. Updates Compliance programs and other manuals:
- Regulatory Compliance Management Manual
- Regulatory Compliance Testing Checklist Guidelines
- Independent Compliance Testing Desk Manual
- RCL Workflow & Guidelines
F. Compliance Trainings
1. Updates RPT Training Materials
2. Conducts RPT Training to concerned business/support units
3. Conducts RCTC Training to Unit Compliance Coordinators (UCCs)
G. Accomplish various Operational Risk Management (ORM) Reports
H. Performs other Duties that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Accountancy or any business course
- Have at least one (1) year experience in banking, preferably with banking
operations, Compliance, Risk Management, or Audit background - Have undergone training in banking operations, AMLA, Compliance, Risk
Management and Audit is an advantage
