Job Summary

The Audit Officer is responsible for delivering a reliable, independent, and objective assessment of the Bank and its Subsidiaries' operations. The role aims to add value through a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead pre-audit briefings to discuss approved audit objectives, scope, approach, and any special issues with the audit team.
  • Conduct fieldwork in accordance with approved methodologies and audit program guides.
  • Review whether business units operate and process transactions in compliance with the Bank’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws/regulations.
  • Investigate incidents resulting in losses and recommend improvements to enhance systems and operations.
  • Assess the adequacy of internal controls and risk management processes to provide assurance and render audit opinions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree holder.
  • Must possess at least one of the following certifications:
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
    • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
    • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
    • Or other relevant certifications in internal auditing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of solid experience in:
    • Internal audit
    • Financial audit
    • Information systems audit
    • Operations, compliance, or controls reviews
      Preferably gained from a bank, non-bank financial institution, or auditing firm.
  • Willing to conduct fieldwork.
  • Amenable to work on-site and be assigned in Makati or Ortigas.
