AS/400 Engineer

He/She/They will be responsible for the efficiency and availability of, and the timely resolution of issues and requests related to assigned servers.  The AS400 Engineer also provides technical support required by application development teams.

 

The Responsibilities we will trust you with are:

 

 

  • System and Database Administration

 

  1. Implement measures that enable assigned servers to meet business requirements for efficiency, capacity, security, and availability.

  2. Make recommendations on the upgrade or replacement of servers 

 

 

 

  • Request and Issue Resolution

 

  1. Resolve assigned requests and issues in a timely manner consistent with approved policies and procedures 

  2. Assist other teams and fellow engineers to diagnose and resolve server- and database-related problems 

 

 

 

  • Other Functions

 

  1. Participate in training programs and team meetings 

  2. Assist the leads to formulate policies and procedures 

 

 

 

Your Qualifications and Your Experiences should be

 

  • Holder of a Bachelor's Degree

  • At least 2-5 years experience in System Administration

  • Knowledge of relevant operating systems 

  • Knowledge of database management system 

  • Knowledge of basic networking 

 

 

 

You must be willing to be assigned in Ortigas.
