JOB SUMMARY:
He/She is primarily responsible for the oversight and supervision of the Heads of Risk Management Units of the following entities: Subsidiaries, Global Operations or Offshore Branches, and Independent Groups Risk Management. He/She is responsible for ensuring consistent implementation of the risk management framework.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Oversight and Supervision of Subsidiaries, Global Operations/Offshore Branches, and Independent Groups Risk Management
1. Oversee and supervise the Risk Management Unit Heads of the Subsidiaries, Offshore Branches, and Independent Groups
2. Ensure consistent implementation of the risk management framework (including risk management. policies, methodologies, and procedures) across the risk areas under the purview of the Risk Management Group in BDO Unibank, Inc.
3. Review and analyze relevant risk management reports prepared by the Subsidiaries, Offshore Branches, and Independent Risk Management Groups and identifies potential risk portfolio issues
4. Escalate to the Risk Portfolio Management Departrnent Head of BDO Unibank Inc. should there be issues arising from the risk areas under coverage and liaise with the relevant risk management unit heads of RMG to facilitate issue resolution
5. Recommend any changes in the risk management policies, limits, methodologies, and procedures as they apply to the Subsidiaries, Offshore Branches, and Independent Groups, if necessary, for consideration by RMG.
B. Risk Management Committee Meeting of the Subsidiaries
1. Review risk reports and presentation materials prepares by the Subsidiaries for their respective Risk Management Committees
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of Math, Science or any business-related course
- Adequate risk management experience with good working knowledge and understanding of Trust, Treasury, credit products and operations
