Tax Compliance Officer

Job Responsibilities:

Tax Advisory & Compliance

• Provide tax updates, advisory, and guidance on Philippine tax laws, treaties, and BIR issuances
• Review lending transactions and special projects for tax impact (local and international)
• Coordinate with global and regional offices (Singapore/Hong Kong) on foreign tax matters
• Review related party transactions and support BIR Form 1709 and income tax disclosures
• Issue tax opinions and advise accounting and business units across BDO and subsidiaries

Tax Advocacy

• Represent BDO in the BAP Tax Committee and other industry groups
• Contribute to position papers and technical inputs submitted to the BIR, Congress, and Senate

Tax Audits & Regulatory Support

• Support BIR and LGU audits by coordinating with revenue officers and subsidiaries
• Handle BIR administrative filings and local tax requirements
• Coordinate with LGUs on business taxes, real property taxes, and permit renewals

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related field, CPA
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in banking or the financial industry
• Willing to work onsite in Ortigas
