Syndicate Officer
Makati City, National Capital Region, PH
The Syndicate Officer is primarily responsible in assisting the Head of Syndicate & Distribution in the development of a strong and reliable capital markets distribution base for BDO Capital by organizing capital markets issuances/launches with various sales/distribution teams within BDO Unibank, Inc., its subsidiaries and other external institutional clients, ensuring the successful placement of all mandated transactions of BDO Capital.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the formulation of flexible and effective distribution strategies which ensures that the organization is ready for future cross-selling opportunities for specific capital market issues, originated deals and reverse inquiry deals
- Establishes relationships with local and foreign financial institutions such as, but not limited to banks, brokerage houses, asset managers, hedge funds and private equity funds to expand the Bank’s distribution network and regional distribution capabilities
- Continuously develops the database system that enhances the organization’s data mining and cross-selling capabilities
- Supports various distribution/sales teams within the Bank in order to cultivate new retail and commercial client relationships, while deepening existing retail, commercial and institutional relations through capital markets products and solutions
- Develops the internal and external coverage and pipeline monitoring models that optimize revenues and encourages cross-selling of capital markets products and solutions
- Provides market updates and feedback to the origination team and corporate issues when needed
- Maintains a good network of relationships within BDO Capital and the Bank
- Continuously improves the Bank’s capital markets distribution platform resulting to improved underwriting and arranging capabilities on the origination team
- Fosters a culture of excellence through regular engagement and education
- Improves marketing campaigns in order to encourage active participation from employees
- Performs other functions that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree holder
- working knowledge and understanding of financial statements
- Bloomberg and business PC proficient
Interested candidate must be willing to work onsite daily in Makati.
