Job Summary

 

Responsible for performing security risk assessment, threat modeling, and periodic reporting of vulnerabilities, exposures and misconfigurations affecting critical assets of the bank as well as development and optimization of vulnerability/exposure management processes, guidelines and procedures

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

A. Operations Management 
1. Perform vulnerability and risk assessment of IT systems - prior to their promotion to production including systems that are live in production.
2. Manage and prioritize threat exposures affecting BDO systems and infrastructure
3. Assess and recommend compensating controls to mitigate risk of vulnerabilities, exposures and misconfiguration
4. Periodic reporting of findings to application owners to ensure timely remediation
5. Monitor relevant newsgroups and vendor updates to keep up-to-date with emerging security trends and threats
9. Produce SOC metrics, compliance and operational reports 

 

B. Problem Management 
1. Provide guidance to IT security analyst in identifying compensating controls and addressing detected system vulnerabilities.
2. Perform root-cause analysis as needed, and take necessary steps to prevent recurrence.

 

C. Process Improvement 
1. Regularly revisit existing tools and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
2. Define and refine relevant standards, rules and policies to maximize capabilities of existing tools 

 

D. Project Work 
1. Manage and implement projects initiated by the Unit Head and Section Lead.
