Research Analyst

The Research Group supports and complements BDO's securities, private banking, trust, investment banking, and treasury businesses by providing insights needed by investors, institutions, and corporate looking to make informed financial decisions.
The Macroeconomics and Fixed Income Analyst is responsible for publishing research related to macroeconomics and fixed income markets with the objective of providing investors with relevant and actionable investment ideas. Research also provides marketing support for BDO’s institutional and retail clients subject to industry regulations and internal compliance standards.
The Responsibilities we will trust you with:
- Initiate, perform, and maintain fundamental analysis of the Philippine fixed income markets and the Philippine economy, including but not limited to gross domestic product, inflation, interest rates, and foreign exchange
- Monitor global and local macroeconomic and interest rate trends, through publicly available information, interviews with policy makers, channel checks with third parties, etc.
- Communicate analysis and recommendations via written report and oral presentations
- Maintain accurate and updated fixed income databases and macro models, needed to sustain the research product
- Be involved in marketing activities in support of BDO's various businesses as well as other duties as assigned or requested subject to industry regulations and internal compliance standards
The Qualifications you should have:
- Bachelor's Degree Holder (Economics degree is preferred)
- Strong interest in fixed income and macroeconomic analysis and data mining
- Good oral and written communication skills
