Product Manager

Job Mandate :

The Product Manager is the over-all in charge of the success of a product based on the following basic measures: Marketability, revenue generation, profit contribution to the organization, service execution, cost effectiveness, risk coverage.

Included in Product Management is Product Development, whether of a new product or an update or enhancement of the existing products in line with the objectives of CMS. Management of end-to-end product process and customer journey.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Product Objective: PM sets/defines clear objectives and strategy for products assigned and ensures that these align with the various stakeholders in the organization.

• Product Design:

PM formulates the Product design according to objectives, market requirements, system capabilities, risk, coverage, etc. This includes ensuring detailed and updated Product Manuals and procedures as well as Documentations required.

In relation to Product Development, PM defines major and detailed requirements and priorities in collaboration with project teams or working groups

• Product Cost/Pricing: PM sets, justifies and periodically reviews the product pricing.

• Product Placement and Marketing: PM ensures that necessary marketing materials are in place at product launch and on an ongoing basis.

• Product Execution/Delivery: PM coordinates with various units to ensure the smooth delivery of the product/service on an ongoing basis. This includes making sure that contingency measure is in place.

• Product Continuity: PM directs the product through its life cycle (i.e., ensures that there is steady increase in transaction volume, scans market/industry/competition, and plans and executes related actions).

• Product Demise: PM determines if a product is to be demised. Plans and executes actions related to it.

  Product Knowledge: PM must be up-to-date with market and industry developments that can affect managed product.

  Participation in applicable forums, workshops is necessary as well as reading and researching.

Minimum Qualification Requirements :

Education - Graduate of any four (4) year course, preferably  business background

Work Experience - At least 3 years experience in product management with the ability to present complex ideas in a simplified manner and preferably with experience in an agile environment.
