Role Overview:
The Operational Resilience Officer is responsible for providing assistance to the ORRMU Head and BCP Team Head in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Bank’s Operational Resilience (OR) Framework and Strategy by coordinating OR activities across various Business and Support Units (BSUs) such as, but not limited to, assessment of the end-to-end activities of critical operations and the extent of their exposure to disruptions, periodic review of the internal control environment for critical operations, and management of risks exposures to ensure the Bank remains within its established tolerance for disruption.

 

Key Reponsibilities:

  1. Liaises with BSUs to ensure the accurate and complete submission of OR reports/requirements within communicated deadlines, including but not limited to: identification of critical operations and tolerance for disruption; mapping of interconnections and interdependencies; testing under severe but plausible scenarios; and other reports on OR issues and incidents. Reviews submitted OR reports/requirements.
  2. Monitors performance of identified critical operations against established tolerance for disruption by coordinating with BSUs and other Risk Management teams, including but not limited to, Business Continuity, Operational Risk, Information Technology Risk, and Information Security, on current and emerging risks impacting operational resilience.
  3. Prepares regular reports to be elevated/presented to the Board and/or Senior Management through the Risk Management Committee (RMC).
  4. Recommends changes or enhancements to the OR Framework and Policy, as well as related guidelines and procedures.
  5. Coordinates and facilitates annual enterprise-wide testing exercises, including planning, documentation, result validation, issue tracking, conduct of briefings/meetings, and monitoring of material corrective and preventive actions until closure.
  6. Supports the continuous improvement of OR policies, procedures, and practices through stakeholder engagement, knowledge sharing, training and awareness initiatives, coordination with audit and regulators,  and other relevant activities.
