Econ Research Analyst

The position requires understanding of Macroeconomics and the interplay between economics, financial markets, and business, investments, and consumer trends. The job requires data literacy, functional intelligence, good communication skills, and professional work ethic. An individual with previous work experience as an analyst is preferred but a fresh graduate with strong academic background in economics, finance, or math and in possession of the requisite analyst aptitude and skill set described above should be able to meet the requirements of the job.

Economic Research

1. Perform fundamental analysis of Philippine and Global macroeconomic trends using publicly available information, proprietary bank information, data subscription services, interviews with policy makers, channel checks with third parties, etc.

2. Maintain and update BDO economic databases and econometric models

3. Communicate economic related information, analysis, and forecasts via written report and oral presentations whether for internal Business Units or external clients as needed.

4. Primarily responsible for administrative tasks (eg. Maintaining data subscription services, preparatory work for client meetings, etc) involving the Corplan Macro Research team.

5. Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time.
