Developer

Job Mandate
 
The Developer is responsible for the end-to-end delivery, maintenance, support, and continuous improvement of VB.NET-based applications that support critical business operations. The role ensures that application solutions are reliable, secure, scalable, and aligned with business requirements while maintaining compliance with organizational standards, policies, and service level commitments. 

Duties and Responsibilities
 
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.

• Perform impact analysis for new requirements, system changes, and production issues.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using VB.NET and related Microsoft technologies.

• Enhance existing application functionality based on business requirements and change requests.

• Conduct unit testing and support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production deploy ment activities.

• Investigate application issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective solutions.

• Provide Level 2 (L2) support for incidents, service requests, and defect resolution.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, deployment procedures, and support guides. 

Minimum Qualification Requirements
 
Education
 
Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job
 
Work Experience
 
• 3 to 5 years of experience in application development, maintenance, and production support using VB.NET and Microsoft technologies.

• Proven experience in analyzing business requirements and translating them into functional and technical solutions.

• Hands-on experience in developing, enhancing, troubleshooting, and supporting business-critical applications throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Experience in maintaining legacy applications and implementing application enhancements while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

• Experience supporting enterprise applications in banking, financial services, or large corporate environments.

• Experience handling Level 2 (L2) or Level 3 (L3) application support responsibilities, including incident resolution, defect remediation, and enhancement delivery. 
 
Technical Skills
 
• Technical documentation and technical writing.

• Systems analysis and requirements interpretation.

• Strong programming and application development skills using VB.NET.

• Time management and ability to handle multiple priorities.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
