Deputy Unit Head
Makati City, National Capital Region, PH
The Head is primarily responsible for marketing advisory services to clients, assigning transactions to Corfin Deal Managers and supervising and monitoring the provision of required advisory services to corporate clients in their mergers and acquisition transactions and valuation exercises. Deals include sellside, buyside and transaction advisory, business matching and valuation services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Marketing

Formulates marketing plans and strategies to generate continuous flows from existing and new clients.

Maintains relationships with family offices, private equity firms, investment banks, financial instiutions and high networth individuals for potential deal referrals and for market intelligence gathering.

Maintains relationships with previous and existing clients to remain as the preferred choice in their advisory service requirements.

Solicits new deals from potential clients seeking advisory services.

Maintains relationships and networks with parent bank’s and affiliates’ relationship management units in order to generate advisory leads with their existing clients.

Supervises and leads deal teams in preparing and presenting marketing materials for client solicitation.

Reviews and approves mandate proposal letters to be sent to clients.

Negotiates the terms of the mandate and/or engagement with clients.
Execution

Supervises and leads deal teams in preparing teasers.

Supervises and leads deal teams in conducting due diligence.

Supervises and leads deal teams in preparing information memos.

Leads the presentation of the transaction to prospective buyers or sellers.

Advises clients on recommended courses of action to achieve their specified financial objectives

Develops transaction structures to fulfill the client’s specific financial objectives.

Expedites the progress of other parties work for the client

Leads the presentation of findings and valuation results with clients.
Other Functions

Identifies potential hires to fill in team’s staffing gaps.

Participates in panel interviews held to screen candidates to fill in the staffing requirements.

Performs other functions that may be assigned from time to time.
Education :
Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job from a reputable university
Preferably belongs to the top tier of the class
Preferably with MBA or CFA or similar advance education and training
Work Experience :
Extensive experience in investment banking, M&A transactions, and/or securities brokerage, and managing senior and junior level banking officers
