Job Summary

 

The AI Specialist/Data Scientist is a full stack AI engineer responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-grade AI applications, Generative AI (GenAI) solutions, Agentic AI systems, and intelligent digital experiences that deliver measurable business value. 

 

The role combines software engineering, AI engineering, and product development capabilities, encompassing front-end development, backend services, AI orchestration, model integration, and cloud deployment. The incumbent will build and support scalable, secure, and production-ready AI solutions leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI Agents, workflow orchestration frameworks, APIs, and cloud-native technologies. He/she is expected to work closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, AI architects, UX designers, platform engineers, and DevOps teams to transform business requirements into robust AI products and reusable AI services that accelerate the Bank's AI transformation journey. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

  1. AI Application Development and Support 

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade AI-powered applications using RAG architecture, agenticAI 

  • Build end-to-end GenAI applications utilizing LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases, and agent orchestration frameworks 

  • Develop customer-facing and employee-facing AI solutions across web, mobile, and conversational channels 

  • Translate business requirements into scalable AI application architectures 

  • Develop reusable AI application components and reference patterns 

  • Develop data pipelines to ingest and store data to vector database or relational database 

 

  1. Front-End Development 

  • Develop responsive, secure, and intuitive user interfaces using React.js  

  • Build AI chat interfaces, agent dashboards, workflow management portals, and AI-assisted user experiences 

  • Implement state management, authentication, authorization, and application security controls 

  • Optimize user experience, accessibility, and application performance 

 

  1. Backend Services and API Engineering 

  • Build and deploy backend services and APIs in Python, including data-driven and AI-powered features 

  • Design and develop RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between front-end applications and backend services 

  • Ensure robust error handling, authentication, and authorization mechanisms in API interactions 

  • Collaborate with backend engineers to define API specifications and ensure seamless integration 

  • Optimize API calls for performance and reliability, implementing strategies like pagination, batching, and caching 

 

  1. AI Solution Integration 

  • Integrate OpenAI models and other LLM services into production applications 

  • Embed and interact with generative AI models (e.g., via OpenAI or custom APIs) in the front‑end, ensuring low latency and responsive UIs 

  • Integrate AI capabilities into existing enterprise platforms and business processes 

  • Connect AI solutions with APIs, databases, document repositories, workflow systems, and third-party application 

 

  1. Collaboration and Documentation 

  • Translate business requirements into technical implementation 

  • Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, and code reviews, providing constructive feedback 

  • Communicate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate the requests to a technical design 

  • Execute testing 

  • Document component libraries, data schemas, and integration patterns to adhere to SDLC policy 

 

  1. AI Governance and Compliance 

  • Ensure compliance with Responsible AI policies, security standards, data privacy requirements 

  • Implement guardrails against any Responsible AI risk 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Math/Statistics, or related fields  
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in delivering production-grade AI or data-centric applications. 
  • Comfortable working across the full stack and the AI/ML development lifecycle  
  • Must be willing to work onsite and be assigned in Makati/Ortigas

  • Preferred Experience 

    • Experience building GenAI, RAG, Copilot, chatbot, or AI agent solutions. 
    • Experience integrating Azure OpenAI, OpenAI APIs, Anthropic Claude, Gemini, or equivalent LLM platforms. 
    • Experience implementing vector databases such as Azure AI Search 
    • Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar agent orchestration frameworks. 
    • Experience deploying AI solutions on Azure/AWS 
    • Experience building microservices and API-driven architectures.
