BASIC FUNCTION

Responsible for the daily collection of deposits and delivery of cash requirements of clients with pick-up deposit/payroll arrangement.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Operations

1. Performs start and end of day banking activities.

2. Delivers cash requirements of clients.

   1. Ensures that cash received from the Teller/Service Officer is properly accounted for before being delivered.

   2. Ensures that cash delivered is duly received and accounted for by the client by acknowledging the cash breakdown and amount of cash delivered.

   3. Ensures that checks/withdrawal slips correspond to the cash delivered.

   4. Reviews authenticity of the documents/instruments.

3. Collects deposits of clients with pick-up deposit/payroll arrangement.

   1. Ensures that cash received from the client is properly accounted for before being acknowledged in behalf of the bank.

      1. Counts cash received in front of the client and compares total amount from the deposit slips prepared.

      2. Indicates quantity and denominations of cash on the deposit slip.

      3. Transfer received cash and checks to the Teller/Service Officer for counting and verification.

4. Prepares pertinent documents/forms related to deposit pick-up transactions.

5. Generates necessary reports promptly and prepares tickets for transactions requiring entries, as applicable.

6. Handles client concerns and see to it that they are acknowledged and addressed immediately or elevated to higher level authority, if needed.

7. Files reports and documents of the transactions processed in the section.

8. Reports any untoward incidents or situations to branch officer.

9. Gives recommendations to improve operational efficiency.

10. Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
