Treasury Securities Operations Officer

Overview:
  • Responsible for processing and settlement of various Private Banking functions which includes, but not limited to check and verify/approve of deals, account set up, confirmations and prepare reports. Ensure the back office treasury activities and Private Banking transactions conform to all established bank policies, systems and procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assists Operations Head in processing/approving of daily ILD transactions and operation of back office Treasury Dept., ensuring prompt and efficient delivery in compliance with the bank’s service standards and internal control.
  • Responsible for enhancing operational efficiencies and driving continuous improvement and accountable for physical security.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversees and supervises all operations related to backroom Private Banking transactions including monitoring of outsourced activities of Type 1 Regulated Activity.
  • Check completeness of required a/c opening documents;
  • Ensures that any transactions and amendments are reviewed, approved and supported with proper documentation and trade blotter.
  • Verify the matched deals in the bank’s system (e.g. Avaloq). Inform HK Securities Dealer and HK PB RM/ARM that deals have been verified or with discrepancies.
  • Monitor, verify and settle outstanding transactions related to all Private Banking Operation.
  • Set up & review accounts, RMA and maintain relationship with our customers and counterparties.
  • Reconcile of purchase and sale transactions against the Customer orders and securities against custodian/depository.
  • Market support process for Type 1 RA (SFC Banc report and HK IDR report)
  • Clients documents management (PI confirmation/renewal, e-banking message notifications, customer a/cs build-up, review of client documents/accounts, sending of notices/termination)
  • Perform necessary Corporate Actions/Events.
  • Ensures all Treasury back office and Private Banking Operations are compliant with regulatory requirements of HKMA and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and the bank’s internal policies and controls.
  • Support/back up the operation of ILD, checking and approving the daily transactions of ILD in accordance with defined policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates with other departments to streamline workflows.
  • Works closely with IT team to enhance operational tools and platforms.
  • Oversees and participates in UAT related to Private Banking and Treasury Operations.
  • Report and refer immediately Supervisor for any exception and queries cases.
  • Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree relevant to the job
  • At least 5 years’ experience in handling treasury operations in wealth management.
