Account Officer

JOB MANDATE
Responsible for achieving loan volume targets while maintaining profitability, sound credit quality, and good customer service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively solicit loan accounts from various channels (i.e. branches, developers, brokers, and direct referrals).
- Develop the sales channel through regular branch visits / area meetings, training of branch front liners, performance reporting / updates, etc.
- Analyze overall loan applicant’s financial capacity, credit worthiness, collateral eligibility, etc. to determine feasibility of granting loans.
- Review and update pre-approval and post approval requirements to ensure adequacy for credit processing and loan booking, respectively.
- Liaise with backroom units to address issues and requirements for the smooth processing and booking of the loan.
- Execute sales and / or marketing activities aimed to achieve targets.
- Attend to branch and client inquiries, as well as post-booking / customer service concerns of clients and the channel.
- Provide information regarding competitor’s practices, market trends and customer needs.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree holder; any business related courses
- With at least 2 years of experience as Account Officer / Relationship Officer selling commercial / mortgage loans
- Current position with other banks’ IBG / Commercial Bank / SME Loans / Business Loans as Account / Relationship Officer is a big plus factor
- Strong credit knowledge and financial analysis
- Familiar with computer software including word processing, spreadsheets and presentations
- Analytical, systematic, can work under pressure, independent and can
- work with minimum supervision
- Has good people management and interpersonal skills
