Job Mandate

 

Develop project plan, scope, estimates; Manage the implementation of IT Projects ensuring on-time and within budget delivery while meeting business requirements and ensuring compliance with solution architecture

Align across other tech leads and delivery managers and report to the project manager(s) in context of the project

Ensures adherence on BDO SDLC framework on all service delivery activity

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

Assists in prioritization of IT projects as part of the business planning/demand planning cycle for the Units

Align with the project manager on the overall business outcomes for the modules and delivery timelines

Leads the kick-off process ensuring all necessary resources are available in conjunction with business sponsor and that a robust project plan is in place

Monitors and execute assigned projects as per BDO SDLC and Governance process

Accountable to deliver the technical deliverables of the projects within scope, schedule and budget commitments

Accountable to manage the vendors involved in the project, ensuring all technical deliverables are met

Identifies and logs project issues; Oversees the resolution process; and escalates issues when necessary

Lead, when necessary, re-scopes the projects and updates project plans accordingly

Leads the project closure ensuring all deliverables are achieved and documented; and relevant lessons learned/ case studies are de#veloped

Assists in selecting and on-going management of vendors/suppliers for supporting selected projects

Facilitates vendor contracting, payments

Harness project best practices and contribute to the overall BDO knowledge base

Train new tech leads with BDO project delivery processes

 

Minimum Qualification Requirements

 

Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job.

Experience as a full-time project manager, delivery manager, tech lead, or

service manager (5 years minimum), preferably gained from a bank, financial institution, or telco.

Project Management certification is a plus.

Very conversant with different project management frameworks (e.g. Scrum, PMP, Kanban) and preferably certified (but not required).

Possesses excellent management and written/verbal communication skills.
