BASIC FUNCTION :

Oversees the team and engages the business and IT to delivery operational excellence - by supervising systems projects from start to finish, defining scope, planning, executing, and monitoring progress to ensure completion on time and within budget. Ensures that day-to day activity of the unit conform to the prescribed guidelines, procedures and issued memorandum.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Identify Needs: Understand overall business requirements; and analyze and understand business processes, systems, and products to find areas needing improvement.

2. Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to understand business performance and trends.

3. Requirements Gathering: Document and communicate the functional and technical needs of stakeholders to developers i.e. process/work flow, business requirements (BR), Change Requests, etc.).

4. Process Improvement: Develop and recommend solutions (internal and external tools), such as process changes or new technology, to boost efficiency.

5. Stakeholder Communication: Bridge the gap between business teams and technical teams, ensuring solutions meet client needs and implementing changes effectively.

6. Solution Validation: Evaluate proposed solutions, conduct feasibility studies, and ensure implemented changes are successful.

7. Define, analyze and document system issues being reported by the users.

   Recommend solutions on the identified issues or business requirements.

8. Establish and define temporary work-around solution if permanent fix on the issue reported is not yet available.

9. Escalate issues and concern to Unit Head when necessary.

10. Manage other IT-related activities that require participation of the business units such as Technical Contingency Plan (TCP) Testing, Server Updates, etc.

11. Attend regular meetings, including but not limited to coordination with the IT Group, to support timely and efficient product delivery.

12. Perform other related duties as may be assigned by immediate superior or senior management from time to time.

1. Analytical Skills: Comprehending complex data and processes to identify problems and oppotunities.

2. Communication & Influence: Effectively conveying findings and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.

3. Problem-Solving: Defining clear problem statements and developing practical, impactful solutions

4. Business Acumen: Understanding business strategies, goals, and market conditions to make data-driven recommendations.

5. Technical Skills: Proficiency with tools like SQL, Excel, and data visualization software, as well as knowledge of IT systems and software development.

6. Information Management: Organizing and documenting requirements, processes, and data sets

Training and Development:

Ensures continuous capability development by participating in both in-house and external training
